Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
These terms govern your use of Spark Lit tutoring services, operated as a division of IO IT Services Corporation, an Ontario corporation. By booking a session, you agree to these terms.
Services
We provide computer science and programming tutoring, delivered online or in person in Aurora and York Region. Session content is tailored to the student and is educational support — we do not guarantee any specific grade, exam result, or outcome.
Bookings & payment
- Sessions are booked through our scheduling system.
- Fees are as listed at the time of booking; applicable taxes may apply.
- Payment is processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store card numbers.
- Prepaid packages are subject to the cancellation policy.
Parent / guardian responsibility
For students under 18, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for bookings, payment, and providing consent for the student's participation and information, as described in our Privacy Policy. A parent or guardian must be reachable during sessions with younger students and present on the premises for in-person sessions where we request it.
Online sessions & conduct
- Online sessions take place over the video platform we designate.
- Students are expected to participate respectfully; we reserve the right to end a session for abusive or inappropriate conduct without refund.
- Sessions are not recorded without prior written consent of the parent or guardian.
Acceptable use
Lesson materials, exercises, and resources we provide are for the enrolled student's personal educational use and may not be redistributed, published, or resold. Portal accounts are personal; credentials and sign-in links must not be shared.
Cancellations
Rescheduling, cancellation, and refund terms are set out in the Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the services is limited to the amount paid for the session(s) giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for interruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control (including outages of third-party platforms).
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date; continued use of the services after a change constitutes acceptance.
